Hymermobil B-Class celebrates its 25th anniversary

The Hymermobil B-Class, Europe’s most successful motorhome, is celebrating its 25th anniversary. When it made its debut in 1980 nobody imagined that this motorhome would become a synonym and generic term for the products of an entire industry, like “Tempo” (“Kleenex”) for paper tissues or “Aspirin” for headache tablets. People often refer to a “Hymer” when they mean a motor-home. The B-Class enjoys high esteem among customers: in Germany it was singled out as the Motorhome of the Year for the 18th time in a row - a peerless feat in the sector.
Hymer is presenting the “Legend 25” Hymermobil to mark the occasion of what may be a young anniversary in a general context, but has almost historical status for a generation of vehicles. The exclusivity of this Jubilee Edition, limited to 250 motorhomes based on two exceptionally successful models, the Hymermobil B 524 and B 654, is virtually unbeatable in terms of equipment, styling and design.
The Silver Design metallic paint finish outside is even topped by the exclusive “Noce Bergamo” furniture design within. The luxurious interior furnishing scheme, combined with the “Monaco pebble” upholstery design, the parquet-style flooring and the granite kitchen worktop finish, are highly reminiscent of the aura emanating from a state-of-the-art, maritime super yacht. The interior scheme excels with an elegant design, exceptional comfort and technical equipment of unparalleled sophistication in this market segment.
In the compact B 524 (6.39 metres long) and in the larger B 654 (6.99 metres long) the driver and passenger can enjoy - from the comfort of their club seats - inspirational technical features: Fiat Ducato 2.8 JTD power engine with146 HP, ABS, TCS, cruise control, static cornering light, fog lights, air conditioning, electric windows as well as external heated and power-adjustable mirrors.

It offers maximum kitchen convenience as a compact unit housing a 150-litre refrigerator including 25-litre freezer compartment, plus an oven. A further highlight is the multimedia equipment. The 17-inch flat panel screen, Oyster 85 digital satellite system, DVD player and audio system with 4 speakers provide superb picture and sound quality.
This exclusive special edition comes at an extremely attractive price. The Legend 25 based on the Hymermobil B 524 costs 71,990 euros and the larger B 654 costs exactly 78,990 euros. Both prices reflect a jubilee advantage of 6,000 euros.
The Legend 25 Special Edition will be on view to the public for the first time at the CMT fair in Stuttgart (14. - 22.01.2006). It will be available from Hymer contract partners from April onwards - but certainly not for long due to the high anticipated demand.
