Installing your myHymer e-mail account in MS Outlook Express

In the following we show you how to install your e-mail addresses in Outlook Express. In addition, you can of course use all other e-mail programs. The following description is intended as an example. Installation in other programs is carried out in a similar way.

If you have received the login details for your myHymer e-mail account from us by post, you can also set up an e-mail account on your computer. To pick up your e-mails, we recommend the program Outlook Express, as this is installed on every computer with the operating systems Windows 95/98/ME/XP/2000 and the program is free of charge.

1. Setting up the e-mail account

Please first open the program Outlook Express. From the pull-down menu, select "Extras" and then “Accounts”.

In the following dialogue window, select the button “Add” on the right-hand side and the sub-point “e-mail”.

2. Enter your name

The following dialogue window opens. Please enter your name or for example the name of your company as it is to appear later as the sender of the e-mail.

Click on the button Next > to go to the next step.

3. Enter your e-mail address

Please enter your new e-mail address here. This is composed of your name, an "@" sign and the domain "myhymer.com".

Click on the button Next > to go to the next step.

4. Enter the mail servers

In the next step, enter the servers for incoming and outgoing e-mails. In the case of myhymer.com, these are "mail.myhymer.com" both for the incoming and for the outgoing mail server.

Click on the button Next > to go to the next step.

5. Enter your user details

For the last step, enter your user name and your password. If you have sole access to your PC, you can also click the check box “Save password”.

Click on the button Next > to go to the next step. Click here on "Finish" to activate your account on your computer.
