The spirit of adventure: new layout for the HYMERCAR Free

Bad Waldsee, 14 May 2018 – Early this year, Hymer GmbH & Co. KG presented its latest camper van model range HYMERCAR Free, available in the two layouts 540 and 600. In response to the high demand, the long-established manufacturer from Bad Waldsee, Germany, is now extending its product line with the HYMERCAR Free 602. Like its predecessors, the new model is notable for its intelligent use of space, compact dimensions and extensive, high-quality standard equipment, making it the ideal companion for travellers with a sense of adventure. A special highlight of the new vehicle are the two large single beds for even greater sleeping comfort.

Camper vans are becoming increasingly popular as an independent, individual means of travel away from the major centres of tourism. The HYMERCAR Free answers this demand to a T, boasting a compact vehicle length of under six metres and a kerb weight of under three tons. Together with its extensive standard equipment, this makes the Fiat Ducato-based camper van a real all-rounder that’s ideal for newcomers to the world of motorhoming – and without compromising on comfort. The new HYMERCAR Free 602 comes with all the same great features as its predecessors plus a new interior design concept featuring two large, longitudinally arranged single beds and a practical mid-height, 21 cm-wide wardrobe. Thanks to the optional pop-top roof, the van can sleep up to four people comfortably. As an alternative to the pop-top roof, the seating area can also be converted to a single bed as an optional extra, thus creating space for a total of three people. Karsten Berg, Sales Manager for HYMERCAR and HYMER Motorhomes, says: “Our new model range is proving especially popular with first-time campers and young families thanks to its small size, extensive equipment and optional pop-top roof. What’s more, the low weight of the vehicles means extra loading capacity for sports and camping gear – another big advantage of this model range”.

The interior design of the new layout has a fresh, modern look with matt white surfaces and silver-grey details combined with warm oak tones. The rotatable table in the living area can be extended to accommodate several people. And you don’t have to be on a campsite to enjoy a shower, thanks to an outside shower extension. Pleated insect screens for the summer along with insulated framed windows and an insulated floor for the winter are standard features which

guarantee year-round camping pleasure. For enhanced comfort and design, the Free also offers the “Ready to camp” equipment package including concertina cab blinds and modern alloy wheels.

The HYMERCAR Free is available in the new 602 layout from autumn 2018.
