The B-ML I 890 impresses both inside and out with its stately dimensions. “With our MasterLine, we have combined our cumulative expertise and the very best elements of our company in one vehicle. Thanks to the new 890 layout, the model range now includes a second tandem-axle vehicle and a version featuring a generous queen-size bed,” says Christian Bauer, President of Hymer GmbH & Co. KG.
Intelligent floor plan for exclusive living comfort
In the interior, the B-ML I 890 boasts an even more generous sense of space coupled with maximum storage space. As in the 880 layout, the entrance door moves back to open up the space between the seating area and kitchen. The side couch is now 30 centimetres larger than in the 780 and 790 layouts, and the work surface of the corner kitchen – which comes with a premium mineral worktop as standard – has also been widened by 15 centimetres compared to the 790 layout with a queen-size bed. One mid-height and one floor-to-ceiling larder unit on the opposite side provide additional storage space for all of your kitchen utensils.
The B-ML I 890 now comes with three wardrobes. Measuring almost 70 centimetres in width, the spacious wardrobe with double doors offers plenty of room for all of your holiday clothes. What’s more, there are two additional wardrobes next to the bed at the rear. Towards the bathroom, two fixed sliding doors enable the sleeping area to be partitioned off. The bathroom itself features a striking floor plan, with the redesigned washbasin including mirror cabinet and integrated lighting occupying a separate area next to the shower with real glass doors. This creates more space in the toilet area, which is equipped with an open shelf, towel radiator and additional window. The adjustable and magnetic vanity mirror, which can be fixed in place wherever it is needed, is the perfect finishing touch to the bathroom of the B-ML I 890. For extra privacy, the bathroom can also be partitioned off in the direction of the living area.
The rear of the 890 layout features a generous queen-size bed that is two metres in length and almost 1.60 metres in width. There is over 40 centimetres of walking space along each side of the bed, which means that the two wardrobes at the rear can be reached with ease. A total of three floor hatches are provided for customers requiring extra storage space. The combination of the pale Grand Oak furniture finish, featuring elements in modern super-matt white, and the darker Velvet Ash creates a cosy and harmonious colour scheme throughout the living area, bathroom and kitchen. The pleasing ambience on board is further enhanced by the now dimmable multi-level ambient lighting on the overhead lockers, under the kitchen counter and on the skirting boards. The lighting throughout the vehicle can be switched off with ease thanks to a central switch on the rear fold-down bed.
Unique outer design on a tandem axle
Once again, the second vehicle in the Hymer portfolio with a tandem axle on an SLC chassis boasts a length of just under nine metres and a gross vehicle weight of up to 5.5 tons plus huge payload reserves. In addition, it offers extra-stable handling and a level of driving comfort comparable with more compact motorhomes. In terms of bodywork, Hymer has opted for the proven combination of Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis cowl with optional 177 hp diesel engine and SLC chassis. In conjunction with the new 6-speed manual gearbox or the 9-speed automatic transmission, this allows comfortable cruising speeds with maximum, low-noise engine smoothness and optimised fuel consumption. Assistance systems such as Active Brake Assist or DISTRONIC Active Distance Assist also ensure a high degree of safety. With its spacious double floor, the chassis provides ample space for all technical components, while the interior offers a headroom of 1.98 metres thanks to the level floor.
Along with the large, panoramic windscreen, the redesigned front section is a real highlight. The visible edges pick up the lines of the headlights and carry them into the extended side contour. The slightly arrow-shaped front section integrates the wheelbase perfectly. The sporty, exclusive appearance is further underlined by the high-quality black grille, glossy radiator frame with chrome trim and LED fog lights. Completing the motorhome’s sleek exterior is the 3D GRP rear, including integrated rear light moulding and self-supporting garage casing with a sporty diffuser look.
The Hymermobil B-Class MasterLine I 890 will be available from the summer of 2020.
