With the dual-lens reversing camera 2.0, HYMER Original Parts & Accessories is introducing an accessory for HYMER motorhomes that not only boasts a new design featuring a discreet and sophisticated white glass appearance, but improved functionality as well. The two reversing and rear-view camera modules are directly integrated in the third brake light. This means that they can be installed quickly and easily without any holes for the cable bushing or screw fixings in the rear wall. The high-resolution premium sensor provides perfect visibility, both day and night – both in the distance with the reversing camera and right behind the vehicle with the rear-view camera. Both cameras create a field of vision with a viewing angle of 170 degrees. The cameras can also be used continuously, e.g. to keep track of the traffic behind the motorhome (rear-view mirror function), and thanks to the super night vision camera technology, there’s no need for any additional infrared or LED headlights.
As a result, the twin technology helps to improve your safety in traffic – something that’s incredibly important to HYMER and is also reflected in the vehicles, for example, which are equipped with comprehensive assistance systems. The camera is not only impressive in terms of safety, but also in terms of water tightness thanks to the high-quality workmanship: the lenses are coated with a special nano sealant to protect against misting and to enable rainwater to drain off easily, which is also really handy when washing the vehicle. The corrosion, UV and salt water-resistant material can also cope with whatever weather you encounter on your trip.
The dual-lens reversing camera 2.0 from HYMER Original Parts & Accessories will be available from dealers from September 2018 and can be fitted to the majority of HYMER’s current motorhomes.
