    Important information regarding the selection of your vehicle

    When buying a motorhome, camper van or urban vehicle (hereafter: motorhome), it is particularly important to choose the right layout and an appealing design. In addition, weight also plays an essential role. Family, friends, optional equipment, accessories and baggage – space must be available for all of these. At the same time, there are legal and technical limits to the configuration and load. Every motorhome is designed for a certain weight, which may not be exceeded during driving. For motorhome buyers, this raises the question: How should I configure my vehicle to accommodate passengers, baggage and accessories according to my needs without the vehicle exceeding this maximum weight? In order to make this decision easier for you, we provide you below with a few tips that are particularly important when selecting your vehicle from our portfolio:

    * The specified mass in running order is a default value defined in the type-approval procedure. Due to manufacturing tolerances, the actual weighed mass in running order may deviate from the value stated above. Deviations of up to ± 5 % of the mass in running order are legally permissible and possible. The permissible range in kilograms is given in brackets after the mass in running order.  The manufacturer-specified mass for optional equipment is a calculated value for each type and layout that HYMER uses to determine the maximum weight available for factory-fitted optional equipment. The limitation of optional equipment is intended to ensure that the minimum pay-mass, i.e. the legally prescribed free mass for baggage and retrofitted accessories, is actually available for the vehicle load capacity of the vehicles delivered by HYMER.  The real weight of your vehicle ex works can only be determined when it is weighed at the end of the line. If, in exceptional cases, the weighing shows that the actual load capacity falls below theminimum pay-mass despite limiting the optional equipment due to a permissible weight deviation, we will check together with your trade partner and you whether we should, for example, increase the load capacity of the vehicle, reduce the number of seats or remove optional equipment before delivering the vehicle.  The technically permissible maximum laden mass of the vehicle and the technically permissible maximum mass on the axle must not be exceeded.

    • It is visible that the rear garage of the HYMER Grand Canyon S in the Pearl Grey style world is accessible from the interior of the vehicle under the bed.

      The clever way to get into bed

      The pull-out bed step makes getting into the rear bed especially convenient. It’s also a clever feature due to its double function as a storage space partition.

    • See and be seen even better

      The high-performance LED headlights increase safety at night. They provide extra visibility thanks to their wide light distribution, low energy consumption and light colour, which is similar to daylight.

    • Extending table

      The folding table has an extending tabletop which folds up quickly and easily as required to increase the surface area. It can also be simply folded away against the wall when not in use.

    • Effective insect screens

      The pleated insect screen on the sliding door ensures that uninvited guests stay outside.

    • Gently closed, securely locked

      All overhead lockers and drawers feature a soft-close function for gentle closing, as well as a secure locking system.

    • Easy waste water tank drainage

      The electric waste water tank drainage with dashboard switch lets you empty the waste water tank at the push of a button using a radio-controlled valve – without getting your hands dirty.

    • Sleep restfully

      The innovative HYMER sleeping comfort mattress offers maximum lying and sleeping comfort thanks to perfect ergonomics and durable high-tech material. The integrated disc spring system enables easy handling inside the vehicle, so that storage spaces under the bed are easily and quickly accessible.
    • On the kitchen extension in the HYMER Grand Canyon S, there is bread. In the background, the kitchenette with stove, sink, and refrigerator is visible.

      Soft closing and safe handling

      All kitchen drawers are equipped with roller bearings for ultra-smooth action. They feature high-quality Soft close mechanisms and one-handed push-locks that prevent the drawers from opening and rattling when the vehicle is on the move.

    • No thermal bridges

      The modern, high-quality framed windows in the vehicle are fitted with acrylic double glazing for better protection against break-ins and optimal thermal insulation. The aluminium frame is especially lightweight and sturdy and has an insulating layer to protect against thermal bridging.

    • Additional berth

      The seating area can be converted into a single bed using an extra cushion. That provides an additional travel companion with a comfortable place to sleep for the night.

    • More power on the road

      The controlled solar installation supplies 2 x 95 W and thus makes you even more independent on the move – for greater freedom and self-sufficiency.

    • Roof bedroom

      A separate bedroom for two is available in the pop-top roof with integrated bendable and folding double bed featuring the comfort sleeping system. The pop-top roof is painted in the body colour.

    • Fast child seat fixation

      Thanks to ISOFIX, a child seat can be attached to the seat bench particularly safely and easily, so that children can also be transported safely and comfortably in the vehicle.
