The T-Class S 585 is the latest unique layout to be added to the model range. Measuring 7.09 metres in length, it boasts a spacious interior featuring an extra-wide side couch, two comfortable twin beds, a floor-to-ceiling wardrobe and a spacious vario bathroom with a clever swivel solution. Numerous driver assistance and multimedia systems ensure that your trips are safe and comfortable. The large, illuminated garage at the rear offers plenty of storage space for your camping equipment, bikes, and so on – there are also lashing rails for securing larger pieces of luggage, such as sports equipment, as needed.
One particular highlight of the T-Class S 585 is the completely revamped vario swivel bathroom, which has been improved for the layout. Thanks to the swivelling wall, it can be easily transformed into an ergonomic designer bathroom – making perfect use of the compact space. In addition to the adjustable Mercedes-Benz comfort seats, the side couch measuring half a metre in width ensures that the living area is comfortable. It can also be optionally enlarged to seat five. What’s more, a comfort L-shaped seating area with lounge upholstery can also be selected as an optional extra. The comprehensive standard equipment of the T-Class S 585 includes the floor-to-ceiling wardrobe. Additional storage space can be found under the two twin beds with a standard length of 1.93 and 1.87 metres. The Tenorite design graphics, which are available as an optional extra, add a sporty touch to the exterior.
Tried-and-tested T-Class S features as standard
Needless to say, the latest layout also boasts the well-known benefits of the T-Class S range: the interior of the vehicle is characterised by its modern, bright design and an extremely generous feeling of space. This is enhanced by an intelligent lighting concept with several light levels. Thanks to the lowered chassis frame, the upper floor is level throughout the vehicle, which results in a generous overall headroom of 2.04 metres. As an option, the vehicle can be supplemented with a power-operated and infinitely-adjustable fold-down bed. The T-Class S 585 even boasts a headroom of 1.88 meters under the fold-down bed. The standard hot-air diesel heater with boiler combined with the floor-to-ceiling 152-litre compressor refrigerator and Hymer Smart Battery System ensures even greater self-sufficiency on your travels. What’s more, the lack of gas bottles also saves weight and frees up storage space. A gas-powered, hot-air heating system combined with an absorption refrigerator is also available on request. The two compact 2.75-kilogram gas bottles are still present for the hob and for cooking. For the first time, there’s also an option to replace the steel double leaf spring on the rear axle of the vehicle with a GRP leaf spring, saving an additional 16 kilograms in weight. The large panoramic roof vent in the living area lets in plenty of daylight to create a pleasant, natural ambience inside the vehicle.
