    Important information regarding the selection of your motorhome

    When buying a motorhome, camper van or urban vehicle (hereafter: motorhome), it is particularly important to choose the right layout and an appealing design. In addition, weight also plays an essential role. Family, friends, optional equipment, accessories and baggage – space must be available for all of these. At the same time, there are legal and technical limits to the configuration and load. Every motorhome is designed for a certain weight, which may not be exceeded during driving. For motorhome buyers, this raises the question: How should I configure my vehicle to accommodate passengers, baggage and accessories according to my needs without the vehicle exceeding this maximum weight? In order to make this decision easier for you, we provide you below with a few tips that are particularly important when selecting your vehicle from our portfolio:

    * The specified mass in running order is a default value defined in the type-approval procedure. Due to manufacturing tolerances, the actual weighed mass in running order may deviate from the value stated above. Deviations of up to ± 5 % of the mass in running order are legally permissible and possible. The permissible range in kilograms is given in brackets after the mass in running order.  The manufacturer-specified mass for optional equipment is a calculated value for each type and layout that HYMER uses to determine the maximum weight available for factory-fitted optional equipment. The limitation of optional equipment is intended to ensure that the minimum pay-mass, i.e. the legally prescribed free mass for baggage and retrofitted accessories, is actually available for the vehicle load capacity of the vehicles delivered by HYMER.  The real weight of your vehicle ex works can only be determined when it is weighed at the end of the line. If, in exceptional cases, the weighing shows that the actual load capacity falls below theminimum pay-mass despite limiting the optional equipment due to a permissible weight deviation, we will check together with your trade partner and you whether we should, for example, increase the load capacity of the vehicle, reduce the number of seats or remove optional equipment before delivering the vehicle.  The technically permissible maximum laden mass of the vehicle and the technically permissible maximum mass on the axle must not be exceeded.

    • Active Distance Assist including multifunction steering wheel keys

      DISTRONIC PLUS Driving Assist (including Active Brake Assist) helps to keep a safe distance from the vehicle in front - and brakes automatically in an emergency. It minimises the risks of short safety distances, abrupt traffic stops or inattention.

    • Open-air shower

      A practical suction cup even enables the shower fitting to be attached to the exterior of the vehicle – for a refreshing shower experience in the open air.

    • Well strapped in

      Using the lashing eyelets integrated in the upper floor and in the rear bed, bicycles or other travel equipment can be securely and perfectly fastened for transport.

    • The clever way to get into bed

      The pull-out bed step makes getting into the rear bed especially convenient. It’s also a clever feature due to its double function as a storage space partition.

    • Effective insect screens

      The pleated insect screen on the sliding door ensures that uninvited guests stay outside.

    • Attachable table with slide-out extension

      Thanks to the swing-out tabletop extension, the hook-in table can be enlarged in no time at all and offers sufficient space.

    • Energy-saving LED lights

      The interior lighting throughout the vehicle features modern LED technology as standard. This cuts energy consumption by 75% and gives you hours of extra battery life.

    • Cosy atmosphere

      The LED ambient lighting creates a cosy atmosphere in the living, kitchen and sleeping areas, especially in the evenings.

    • For economical and smooth driving

      The fuel-saving 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission does away with manual gear shifting and ensures smooth gear shifts. When necessary, simply press the brake pedal to activate the HOLD function which stops the vehicle from rolling forward at traffic lights or in stop-and-go traffic.

    • Perfect privacy

      The concertina cab blinds made from a premium pleated fabric protect you from prying eyes and excessive sunlight during summer time.

    • Extra cosiness with the “HOME” furniture finish

      Two stylish scatter cushions with covers that match the seating area fabric as well as a practical utensil bag on the front end of the kitchen add extra comfort in the living area.

    • Fast child seat fixation

      Thanks to ISOFIX, a child seat can be attached to the seat bench particularly safely and easily, so that children can also be transported safely and comfortably in the vehicle.

    • Roof bedroom

      A separate bedroom for two is available in the pop-top roof with integrated bendable and folding double bed featuring the comfort sleeping system. The pop-top roof is painted in the body color.

    • Pleasantly controlled climate

      The semi-automatic climate control TEMPMATIC ensures a pleasant temperature inside the vehicle. The system simultaneously dehumidifies the air, which prevents misting of the windows from inside. In addition, an integrated particle filter protects against pollen and dust.

    • Original Mercedes-Benz Comfort seat, upholstered in living area fabric

      The high-quality, comfortable Mercedes-Benz Original Comfort seats are particularly safe and cosy - even for long journeys and for cosy TV evenings. They are upholstered in the living area fabric and therefore harmonize perfectly with the seating group.

    • Automatic headlights

      The automatic headlight control or headlight assist system switches the low-beam headlight on or off according to current light conditions. This provides more comfort for the driver as well as enhanced safety.

    • The feel-good factor – centrally controlled

      Individual temperature adjustments and the boost function for fast hot water supply and room heating - can be controlled via the central LCD control panel for the heater, also equipped with a timer.

    • Easy waste water tank drainage

      The electric waste water tank drainage controlled from the seating area lets you empty the waste water tank at the push of a button via a radio-controlled valve – without getting your hands dirty.
    • Mercedes based HYMER motorhome cockpit with various high-tech assistance systems

      Stay on track even in windy conditions

      The Crosswind Assist is fitted as standard. It recognizes lane deviations caused by strong crosswinds and supports the driver with automatic braking interventions to keep in lane.

    • No thermal bridges

      The modern, high-quality framed windows in the vehicle are fitted with acrylic double glazing for better protection against break-ins and optimal thermal insulation. The aluminum frame is especially lightweight and sturdy and has an insulating layer to protect against thermal bridging.

    • Electric entrance step

      The electric step at the entrance to the living area of the camper van ensures easy access.

    • Be seen by others

      The high-visibility daytime running light ensures safety even in poor light conditions. The daytime running lights mean other traffic participants spot your vehicle more easily during the day, reducing the risk of accidents caused by failure to see you.

      For more privacy or different sleeping habits, the living and sleeping areas can be separated from one another using a partitioning curtain.

    • Blind Spot Assist

      The Blind Spot Assist alerts the driver to vehicles in the blind spot via visual and acoustic signals. Rear Cross Traffic also detects any vehicles passing behind the vehicle when reversing.

    • See and be seen even better

      The high-performance LED headlights increase safety at night. They provide extra visibility thanks to their wide light distribution, low energy consumption and light colour, which is similar to daylight.

    • For cosy warmth as well as warm water inside the vehicle

      With 6,000 watts of power, the diesel warm air heating with warm water boiler effortlessly ensures room temperatures and warm water even in sub-zero temperatures. Operation with diesel and the resulting omission of gas bottles have a positive effect on weight and storage space and increase self-sufficiency when traveling.

    • Additional berth

      The seating area can be converted into a single bed using an extra cushion. That provides an additional travel companion with a comfortable place to sleep for the night.
