The story of Hymer GmbH & Co. KG began with an ERIBA caravan over 60 years ago. Since then, things have gone from strength to strength, with new model ranges appearing and others being constantly updated. Rudi Fimpel, Divisional Manager of ERIBA Caravans, says “Following the popularity of the ERIBA Living in southern Europe, we are now making our first foray into the family caravan sector in Germany and introducing the same model range here. All eight layouts are suitably spacious for family holidays, and four of them even have a separable sleeping area for children.”
In terms of bodywork and exterior design, the ERIBA Living remains true to its predecessors. All models offer substantial payload reserves thanks to their lightweight construction. The standard GRP coating of the front, roof and rear provide weather and hail protection. Added safety is ensured by the anti-sway coupling, the modern chassis with semi-trailing arm axle and independent wheel suspension and the smoke detector fitted as standard in all caravans. The exterior design of the caravans is characterised by the familiar ERIBA hybrid rear lights along with the distinctive three-stripe logo. Practical, 40 cm-high exterior locker doors make light work of loading, and the storage boxes can also be easily accessed from the inside by lifting the slatted frame.
Inside, the caravans boast a functional kitchen with generous drawers and overhead lockers. Even more storage space is provided by numerous open shelves integrated into the kitchen area. The extra-large, 142-litre refrigerator with integrated 15-litre freezer compartment featured in the family layouts can be easily locked and has shelf inserts for flexible organisation. The comfort beds with wooden panel grating and cold foam mattresses ensure a restful night’s sleep.
Completing the model range are two new layouts which constitute a real highlight: the ERIBA Living 555 XL is the first caravan in the range to feature a fold-down bed, and has an impressive 208 centimetres of headroom. The fold-down bed over the seating area can be steplessly adjusted and accommodates a further two people, taking the total number of berths to seven.
The ERIBA Living 560 is an extremely roomy family caravan with an external width of two and a half metres. The bunk beds in the rear are also optionally available in a three-berth version, and this layout can likewise be ordered with a two-berth pop-top roof, meaning that up to nine people can be accommodated in total. Extra storage space is provided by a suitably large linen cupboard and wardrobe.
The ERIBA Living is available now from dealers in eight different layouts.
