The HYMER Smart Battery System combines 2 different battery types (AGM und LI). This enables the advantages of both technologies to be exploited, thus significantly increasing the durability of the batteries. The usable capacity increases almost 4-fold from 47 AH to 197 AH.

How it works:

1. Priority charging of the AGM battery
2. complete charging of the LI battery
3. Discharging the LI battery
4. Discharge of the AGM battery (buffer storage)

Extension of the period of self-sufficiency from 1.4 days (at Ø typical consumption) to 5.6 days with 1 LI battery and up to 9.6 days with 2 LI batteries (extension pack required)

Increases service life from Ø approx. 3 years to approx. 10 years

Increase in usable capacity from 47 AH to 197 AH

Weight saving of approx. 5 kg with similar external dimensions of the LI battery compared to an AGM battery

Existing charging technology (EBL and, where necessary, battery charger) remains unaffected thanks to intelligent battery management

Charge plus: The battery draws current as soon as the engine starts and throughout the entire journey --> no delayed response time due to the start-up curve of the chemical process in AGM batteries.

Completely winterised system: Great advantages especially at sub-zero temperatures, as the LI battery absorbs charge from the very first second. Here, the EBL supplies the integrated heater.

Robust overall system: The proven lead battery in combination with the HY-Tec 150 LI battery delivers excellent performance over a wide temperature range. Unlike pure lithium batteries, it can even be charged in temperatures below 0°C.

Certified quality: The HY-Tec 150 LI battery has E-approval and has been tested for temperature fluctuations and vibrations by TÜV.

Made in Germany: The HY-Tec 150 LI battery is manufactured in Germany.

Environment plus: The existing AGM batteries do not need to be disposed of. *

 Safety plus: LI battery = iron phosphate. This means that overheating or combustion will not occur!
