The Eriba Touring range is no stranger to these awards, last year having won top prize for the Eriba Touring Triton 430 60th Anniversary Edition. The Eriba Touring Familia 320 also won the Lightweight Leisure Trailer title.
Eriba touring caravans have acquired cult status. They are renowned for their light weight, compact dimensions and low overall height, and their lifting roof and superb road-holding characteristics are positively legendary. These caravans come with an exclusive equipment package which ensures both comfort and maximum safety.
Our designers have excelled themselves, however, with the new Ocean Drive and Rockabilly special edition models, which elevate Eriba’s iconic style to a whole new level.
Both inspired by the 1950s, the Ocean Drive channels Cali Surf style, in cool Pacific blue and crisp white bi-colour exterior, with playful co-ordinating interior décor. The Rockabilly rocks a feisty American Diner vibe and pure 50s Americana.
The Judges’ feedback on the Eriba Ocean Drive:
“So lovely to see such a bright and fresh interpretation of this enduring classic!”
“Looks fantastic – a real eye catcher!”
Whilst we knew the Eriba Ocean Drive and Rockabilly would turn heads, we weren’t quite prepared for the excitement they have stirred up in the UK market!
Whether you’re team Ocean Drive or team Rockabilly, you’ll be delighted to know that there are approved Eriba retailers throughout the UK.
In addition to winning the title, Eriba was also highly commended for the Eriba Touring Triton 430 60 Edition - which won last year and whose popularity endures – and for the Eriba Touring Troll 535. In all, quite a night for Eriba at the awards!
The results of the twenty fourth Caravan and Motorhome Club Caravan Design Awards were announced at the annual Motorhome and Caravan Show at NEC Birmingham on Friday 19 October 2018. The awards were presented by Club Chairman, Grenville Chamberlain, and Club Director General, Nick Lomas.
The Club says, “The purpose of the Awards is to provide guidance for Club members who are looking to change their current caravan or trailer tent. The Club’s Award results are always eagerly anticipated for this very reason. The Caravan Design and Lightweight Leisure Awards offer fair, independent and objective assessments of the vehicles submitted for scrutiny. All caravan and lightweight trailer manufacturers, importers and dealers are invited to submit entries.
“The panel of independent Judges for the Caravan Design Awards follow rigorous scoring checklists. Judges assess everything from sitting comfort, standing headroom, kitchen design, storage, switches, wiring, security, repair and warranty arrangements to general safety.”
Grenville Chamberlain, Chairman of the Caravan and Motorhome Club, who announced the results commented, “The information and data gathered during the judging process is invaluable to our members – and the caravanning community as a whole. This unbiased information enables people to make informed choices when buying a caravan or trailer tent. The Club extends its congratulations to all the worthy winners, and its sincere thanks to the industry for their continued support of these competitions.”
