Spend the night on the ski slope and start your ski tour in the morning: that sounds like the perfect vacation to Simon and his girlfriend Yvonne. And the winter excursion is worthwhile, because in the snow-covered Dolomites you will find perfect conditions and - thanks to the flexibility and self-sufficiency of the HYMER ML-T 570 - plenty of solitude.
The journey starts in Innsbruck. From there, the next three weeks are via South Tyrol and the breath-taking mountain landscape of the Dolomites. Fortunately, the motorhome offers a lot of space: the ski equipment is stowed in the spacious garage in the rear - by the way, it is also the perfect place to store wet skis after a long day. Don't forget your photography equipment and you're off to the sound of Simons‘ favourite playlist in the direction of the mountains.
The heating with integrated timer and a warm shower in the motorhome are simply worth gold after a day in the snow.
The first goal of the two is the Passo di Falzarego. This is the first time they hit the slopes. The conditions are fantastic: a real winter wonderland with lots of snow and safe avalanche conditions. Simon and Yvonne are thrilled. The lifts of the ski areas are still closed, which is why you have the mountain to yourself - except for a few other tourers.
The couple spends the nights at the pass in a car park at an altitude of 2,000 meters. A starry sky and complete solitude await you in the midst of a snowy landscape. Overwhelmed, they enjoy the peace and the cool mountain air.
After exciting days in fresh powder snow, Simon heads in the HYMER for the direction of Cortina d’Ampezzo. The supplies are replenished and the motorhome's 142 litre refrigerator is filled to the top.

Afterwards, the two of them enjoy the Italian winter flair, stroll through the Christmas market and have a good time with pizza and then a cappuccino. But they are quickly drawn out of the city and into the mountains: Passo Tre Croci and Passo Giau are the next destinations. The motto here for the next few days is: skiing, skiing, skiing.
Waking up right next to the slopes, priceless for Simon and Yvonne. Without a morning arrival, you will always be the first on the mountain. Quickly make porridge for breakfast and off you go.
After extended ski tours, a warm motorhome awaits you in the evening - thanks to the gas-powered warm air heating with an integrated timer. It feels a bit like coming home. And fresh coffee tastes even better in the cozy warmth. After a week and a half in the Dolomites, Simon and Yvonne steer their HYMER ML-T back to Austria - to the Durlassboden reservoir, the largest reservoir in the Zillertal. Another ski tourer advises them to rent a hot tub. In the warm water of the wood-heated Jacuzzi, with a view of the lake and a sauna hut next to it, you almost feel like you're in Finland. The best therapy for sore muscles!
They drive to Hochkönig completely relaxed, on the last leg of the journey. After a short detour to the Sylvenstein reservoir in Germany, they go back to Austria to the large Ahornboden in the Karwendel Nature Park and over the toll road between Wallgau and Vorderriß to Seefeld. Simon and Yvonne spend the last few days in Sellrain before heading back to Innsbruck.
